Teribus will be returning to Grandfather Mountain Highland Games on July 8-11, 2010. Come on out and watch bagpipers wheeze at 5,946 feet above sea level for a good time! After such a positive response from our first visit to the games, we are happily returning to the festival and looking forward to sharing lots of new music with everyone. North Texas Irish Festival: Day Two! ntif.org
Teribus had a great day yesterday and was grateful for such an enthusiastic crowd! We were pleasantly surprised to see our new t-shirts had arrived! We will be playing today on the Shannon Stage at 1:15pm and hope to see every person that lives the state of Texas in the crowd. NTIF is a huge festival with plenty of things to do, so bring the whole family out. Where else can you buy canned haggis, deep fried pickles, and watch bagpipers stage dive?!? :D http://www.ntif.org/
Thank you, Radford!
We had a great time at the Radford Highlanders Festival last weekend! The weather was perfect! We played a ninety-minute set that included a moment where EJ was leading around 50 or so dancers while we played the An Dro. We met some really nice people and had dinner with friends to wrap up an excellent day. Thanks to everyone who came out to share some time with us and for making our first appearance at the festival a success!
Radford Highlanders Festival this weekend!
Come on out and join us for good times at the Radford Highlanders Festival in Radford, Virginia this weekend! Teribus will be playing on Saturday, October 3, at 4:30 p.m. on Moffett Field at Radford University. For all of those into piping gear, be sure to ask Richard and EJ about their custom bagpipes that they build (smallpipes, Great Highland pipes, and medieval great pipes)! We will be bringing along copies of our CD “How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bombard” so look for the Teribus banner and stop by to say hello! We look forward to meeting everyone and sharing our music with you!
Grandfather Mountain Highland Games
We made our first trek out to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games this year and had a fantastic time! There was a bit of rain but that didn’t slow anyone down! Before one of our sets, we waited under our tent watching the rain come down. The audience sat patiently, undeterred by the weather. We couldn’t safely perform on the stage because of the sound system, so we climbed up the side of the hill, just in front of the seating and played our show. Watching EJ run up and down the hill in the slippery mud was like watching Funniest Home Videos, waiting for the punchline! He stayed on his feet nonetheless!
The Friday and Saturday night concerts were a blast with wonderful crowds who were there for nothing less than a good time! Here’s a bit of footage taken by an audience member at the Saturday night show of us performing “The Seamstress.”
It was a pleasure to share our music with everyone and we hope to do it again next year! Thanks to everyone who came out and shared in the fun!
